About Salsa Lady

"I tried many different dances before I discovered Salsa. It was like true love at first sight. The powerful, intense and beautiful dance took my heart like a storm. I think that’s why teaching other people how to dance Salsa is one of the greatest pleasures in my life.
It’s fantastic to see how the female students discover and develop how to move with pride and sensuality in a natural way. I cooperated with one of the Danish Salsa champions on dancing classes and shows at events in Northern Europe, but now I have decided to focus on what my heart burns for: elegant and sensual Lady Styling."

"When I first met Therese many years ago, she had a spring in her step and a feminine elegance that's rare to see. No wonder - it turns out she discovered her passion for dance at the tender age of five. She has been dancing ever since. She has the strength and flexibility of a karate fighter (she has a blue belt), the sensuality and elegance of an Arabic belly dancer and a posture and sense of rhythm that's straight from the standard dances.

Although blessed with a natural talent for helping people learn in a friendly atmosphere, Therese never considered teaching dance before other salseras repeatedly asked her to teach them Lady Styling. They wanted to know how they could use their hips, arms, head, and even their eyes like she does.

Having practiced karate for many years, she exudes strength and flexibility, while her arm and hip movements are strongly inspired and influenced by Arabic belly dancing. Therese was taught standard dances by Charlotte Egstrand (the 2002 European champion in standard dances), which has helped her perfect her body posture and fine tune her ability to adjust the dance to the music. After practicing for a short, but intense time with a Danish Salsa champion, Therese felt comfortable not only teaching Salsa, but also to give public dancing shows in Latin clubs and for many companies in Northern Europe. She has now turned her attention to teach Lady Styling, to the great benefit of salseras who want to refine and develop their dancing"
